Space Symposium has brought together space leaders from around the world to discuss, address, and plan for the future of space since the inaugural event in 1984. Attendees at that original event numbered 250 space enthusiasts. Prominent speakers have included the Vice President of the United States, heads of global space agencies, members of Congress and senior industry executives, as well as a host of national and state officials, astronauts, and private space travelers.

At the 3rd meeting of the Council, three main issues were discussed: the publication of a Request for Proposals for a spaceport operator at the Ceiba airport; the launch of the Council’s website, and the participation, for the first time, of a Puerto Rico delegation at the Space Symposium in Colorado.
