Purpose

The Council for the Aerospace & Aeronautics Industry of Puerto Rico was created on April 25, 2022, to study and recommend an integrated plan for research, development, and investment in the aerospace and aeronautical industry in Puerto Rico.

Mission

Provide the structure and necessary coordination among the Government of Puerto Rico agencies to channel any questions that the private sector or any state or federal government entity may have in relation to the establishment of commercial initiatives for the aerospace and aeronautical industry in Puerto Rico.

Vision

Establish a formal and appealing public policy that identifies our strengths and areas of growth, integrated into the urban planning and economic development efforts, and nourished by investment and development opportunities resulting from federal government policies.

Maximize economic development opportunities, encourage job creation, and strengthen Puerto Rico’s critical infrastructure by pooling resources, strategies, and efforts under an unprecedented government entity.

Joel A. Pizá-Batiz

Professional lawyer, former professor of Aviation Law at Inter American University of Puerto Rico, and a private pilot, Pizá-Batiz is an aeronautics enthusiast and is eager to help design our future in space.
